Private Clients

Session fees are based on the time reserved for your appointment.

Longer sessions may be offered where clinically appropriate and agreed in advance.

NDIS Participants

Slow Practice Studio offers services to eligible NDIS participants where the service aligns with the participant's plan goals and funding arrangements.

NDIS services will be charged in accordance with the agreed service arrangement and relevant NDIS pricing requirements.

NDIS pricing arrangements and price limits may change from time to time. Where this affects the cost of services, participants will be provided with reasonable notice and any changes will be discussed before they take effect. The NDIS publishes its current pricing arrangements and schedule.

Parent or carer sessions may be offered as part of a child's or young person's therapeutic support, or as a separate consultation where appropriate.

These sessions may be used to discuss matters such as:

• the child's wellbeing and therapeutic needs

• observations or changes at home

• supporting emotional regulation and relationships

• parenting or caregiving challenges

• information relevant to the therapeutic process.

The nature and purpose of parent or carer sessions will be discussed in advance.

Information shared by a child or young person during individual therapy will continue to be treated in accordance with applicable privacy, confidentiality and professional obligations.

Payment is due at the time of your appointment unless another arrangement has been agreed in advance.

Private Clients

Private clients are expected to pay for their session on the day of their appointment using the available payment method.

NDIS Participants

Payment arrangements for NDIS participants will depend on how your NDIS plan is managed.

Plan-managed participants: An invoice will be sent to your nominated plan manager for payment.

Self-managed participants: Payment is expected on the day of the appointment. You will be provided with an invoice or receipt that you can use to claim reimbursement from the NDIS.

Clients and their representatives are responsible for ensuring that accurate and current funding and plan management information is provided before services commence.

Please notify Slow Practice Studio as soon as possible if your NDIS plan, plan manager or funding arrangements change.

Fees may be reviewed periodically to reflect changes in operating costs, professional requirements or NDIS pricing arrangements.

Where a fee change is proposed, clients will be provided with reasonable notice before the new fee takes effect.

Fee changes will generally apply to future appointments and will not be applied retrospectively.

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide as much notice as possible.

More than 48 hours' notice

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with more than 48 hours' notice will not incur a cancellation fee.

Less than 48 hours' notice

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee of 100% of the scheduled session fee.

Non-attendance

If you do not attend your scheduled appointment and do not provide notice, the full session fee may apply.

Cancellation fees reflect the appointment time reserved for you and the limited opportunity to offer that appointment to another client at short notice.

Slow Practice Studio understands that unexpected circumstances can arise.

Cancellation fees may be reduced or waived in exceptional circumstances, such as sudden illness, an emergency or another significant and unforeseen event.

Please contact Slow Practice Studio as soon as reasonably possible if an unexpected circumstance prevents you from attending your appointment.

Repeated late cancellations or non-attendance may be discussed with you to understand whether changes to your appointment arrangements or additional support may be helpful.

Short-notice cancellation arrangements for NDIS participants are subject to the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and the terms agreed in the participant's service agreement.

Where permitted under the relevant NDIS rules and agreed service arrangements, Slow Practice Studio may claim a short-notice cancellation from a participant's NDIS plan.

Current NDIS arrangements generally allow providers to claim up to 100% of the agreed fee for certain short-notice cancellations where the relevant conditions are met, including where cancellation terms are documented in the service agreement.

Where possible, any cancellation fee or claim will be discussed transparently with the participant or their representative.

If you arrive late to your appointment, the session will generally still finish at the scheduled time so that subsequent appointments are not affected.

The full session fee remains payable.

If you arrive substantially late and there is insufficient time for a meaningful session to proceed, the appointment may be treated as a late cancellation.

If an account remains unpaid, Slow Practice Studio may contact you to discuss the outstanding amount.

Where appropriate, future appointments may be paused until outstanding fees have been resolved.

If you are experiencing financial difficulty, you are encouraged to discuss this as early as possible. Where appropriate, reasonable payment arrangements may be considered.

NDIS participants and/or their nominated representatives are responsible for ensuring that:

• services are consistent with the participant's NDIS plan and goals;

• sufficient funding is available for agreed services;

• Slow Practice Studio is informed of changes to the participant's plan or funding arrangements;

• relevant plan management details are accurate and current.

If NDIS funding is unavailable or a claim cannot be processed, the participant may be responsible for the outstanding amount where this has been agreed as part of the service arrangement.

Clients may choose to reduce, pause or end therapy at any time.

Where possible, clients are encouraged to discuss changes to ongoing appointments with their practitioner so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

For NDIS participants, any notice requirements relating to ending services will be outlined in the relevant service agreement.
