Meet your therapist
Tara Milenković (she/her)
Art Therapist (AThR) + Counsellor
I'm a Masters-trained and registered Art Therapist with experience working across adult mental health, child, young person and family therapeutic services, inpatient and outpatient settings, community mental health, disability and community arts.
I believe that creativity belongs to everyone and that mental health support is not a one size fits all. You don't need to be artistic, creative or have any experience making art to engage in art therapy. I enjoy supporting people to reconnect with their innate capacity for curiosity, and creative expression, whatever that might look like for them.
I understand that beginning therapy can feel unfamiliar or vulnerable. My hope is to offer a space where you can slow down, explore what is happening in your inner and outer world, and make sense of your experiences in ways that feel meaningful to you. Sometimes this might involve words, sometimes art-making, and sometimes just having space to sit with what is there.
I bring warmth, curiosity and a deep respect for each person's individual experience to my work. I believe therapy can hold many truths, and that meaningful change and self understanding doesn't always have to happen in a rush.
